Governor Cuomo made an appearance in the Hudson Valley Wednesday at the Gap distribution warehouse in Fishkill. He spoke of efforts to save local jobs after an August fire ripped through building 100, a 1.3 million square foot facility on the property.

Cuomo along with both parties in the state legislature, came together to secure funding for the temporary 'pop up' facility. Gap will begin rebuilding the warehouse after the busy holiday season in early 2017. This temporary warehouse will help the company bounce back from sluggish sales this fall, the Fishkill facility is an essential part of the company's northeast operations. Around 1,200 full time employees are now back to work in addition to 300 seasonal workers.

Authorities still suspect the fire was set intentionally and are seeking clues. An award of $7,500 has been offered for information leading to a suspect or arrest. The ATF is the lead agency on the investigation, tips can be reported to (888) ATF-FIRE or by emailing ATFTips@atf.gov.
