Former Queensryche frontman Geoff Tate will celebrate 30 years of 'Operation: Mindcrime' when he brings his band to The Chance in Poughkeepsie this Wednesday (June 20).

Queensryche released their third studio Operation: Mindcrime May 3, 1988 on the EMI label. The heavy metal concept album and rock opera follows the story of recovering drug addict Nikki, who becomes disillusioned with the corrupt society of his time and reluctantly becomes involved revolutionary group of assassin of political leaders. The album was certified gold a year after it's release and platinum by 1991. Many consider Operation: Mindcrime to be one of the greatest masterpieces of heavy metal. It definitely ranks among the greats metal albums of all time. Don't miss this show!
