This is going to be a messy good time!

If you know a first responder that can seriously chow-down on some ribs, this is the next event they need to be at and its happening right here in the Hudson Valley.

The 1st responder rib eating contest is set for Saturday September 14th at the Texas Roadhouse location in Kingston. The event will kick off at noon and will feature some really fun stuff for the whole family to do including, games and raffles for everyone.

They will also have some of the local first responders equipment on hand, like fire truck and more. Kids will be able to "Touch A Truck" throughout the day.

The main event of the rib eating contest will kick off at 2 p.m. with the winning team scoring a trophy and a years worth of steak dinners from the Texas Roadhouse. If you want to enter a team, it'll cost you $100 and you can email Mivino@centervillefiredistrict.com

If you just want to enjoy some great food, you can purchase tickets for the "Rib Rally Dinner" for $10 and use those ticket throughout the month of September at the Texas Roadhouse in Kingston.

Here is the best part, all the proceeds will benefit the Captain Jack Rose Fallen First Responder Memorial Fund which will be placed at the Cantine complex in Saugerties to honor all responders that are lost in the line of duty.
