What's better than a hot bowl of soup or stew?  How about getting to keep the bowl?  And helping out a great cause while you are at it?

Washingtonville High School's National Art Honor Society will be hosting its annual Empty Bowls Dinner and Fundraiser this Friday, March 24, from 5:30 - 8pm in the cafeterias in the high school at 54 West Main Street.  The dinner will raise money for The Food Bank of the Hudson Valley and The Country Kids Food Pantry.

Here's how the Empty Bowls Fundraiser works.  Guests pay a suggested donation of $10 to $25 for a handcrafted ceramic bowl or $5 for a disposable bowl.  Then they enjoy of meal of soups, stews, chilis, pastas, salads, desserts, and more, all donated by Washingtonville community members.  More than 100 members of the Washingtonville High School clay class crafted the bowls for the fundraiser.
