Dutchess County Clerk Selected Clerk of the Year
Dutchess County Clerk Brad Kendall has been selected as the 2018 Clerk of the Year. The award is one of the three statewide Annual Achievement awards handed out. Kendall’s award was presented in front of his peers during the New York State Association of County Clerks conference.
Brad Kendall was acknowledged for his leadership and business style when it comes to running the Dutchess County Clerk’s office. It’s very common for Kendall to be working behind the counters, alongside his staff. This is his twelfth year in the clerk’s office. During that time, he is credited with modernizing and streamlining operations while generating over $9 million in surplus. Kendall has been instrumental in starting several successful programs within Dutchess County, like Renew Local First, Return the FAVOR and Think Differently. He also established the acceptance of electronic recording and filing of land and legal documents. According to the press release, 1.3 million land and legal documents are available online now for Dutchess County.
