A suspended registration led to a Dutchess County woman’s arrest in Ulster County for allegedly being in possession of heroin and cocaine.

The Ulster County Sheriff’s Office arrested 33-year-old Shannette Riley, of Poughkeepsie for 5th-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, 7th-degree criminal possession, and obstructing governmental administration, misdemeanors.

Police say Riley was stopped for driving with a suspended registration on Route 9W in the Town of Lloyd. Authorities then allegedly found heroin and crack cocaine in the vehicle.

Riley is also accused of interfering with police during traffic stop.

She was arraigned in Town of Rosendale Justice Court and remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $7,500 secured bond.
