30 Years Ago: Black Crowes Explode With Shake Your Money Maker
The Black Crowes' debut studio album Shake Your Money Maker catapulted them to fame when it was released Feb. 13, 1990. Formed by brothers Chris and Rich Robinson, the Black Crowes saw their first album peak at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 charts. The album included the tracks "She Talks To Angels" — which reached No. 1 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks charts — and "Jealous Again."
The Black Crowes split in 2015 over financial disagreements, but the Robinson brothers announced in November of 2019 that they would be striking out on a reunion tour in 2020. The tour includes a July 15 stop at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts and a July 25 show at Saratoga Performing Arts Center.
