Tuesday's weather will feel more like late spring as a cold front pushes through the region bringing strong winds and chance for heavy rain.

The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory in effect from 8 a.m. Tuesday to 2 a.m. Wednesday.

A lot of moisture is being pushed up from the South as the front moves closer to the Northeast. This same storm system brought severe weather and tornadoes to the South and Midwest over the weekend. The front is hitting parts of the Mid-Atlantic Monday with the threat of severe weather stretching from the Carolinas to western Pennsylvania.

Lows in the Hudson Valley will only go down to the mid 60s Monday night with highs Tuesday reaching the mid 70s. Rain is expected to start after midnight and persist through Tuesday evening, with a possibility of one to two inches falling in some areas.

Temperatures should cool off and feel more fall-like by mid week as the storm exits the area.
