I know a lot of local musicians here in the Hudson Valley.  Some of them work in several bands and work several nights a week, yet barely eek out a living.  Others make pretty good pay playing covers at weddings and private parties.  Most are very talented and know a wide selection of songs.  The question I'd like to ask is, as the owner of a bar or restaurant, do you hire musicians to entertain your loyal customers?  Or do you hire musicians with the expectation that they will bring a following?  Musicians...how do you feel about this issue?  And diners...do you appreciate music to dine by?  Let me know, please...I'm really curious.  Thanks!
