When Knitting Became Cool

My friend Sharyn is one of the coolest people I know...and so different from me in so many ways.  She learned how to tie a cherry stem with her tongue when she was five, she ran away from home and lived in New York City with a guy who worked for the band Mountain when she was 12, she went to Thailand by herself and sang You Are My Sunshine for the Thai people that drove her around....and when she had kids, she became the best mother ever.  And through it all, the one constant in her life was...knitting.  She can knit anything...and I mean ANYTHING!!

Plus, it keeps her calm, and she says it keeps her boobs firm!  I don't knit, but someday I may ask her to teach me... I used to think that knitting was something only old ladies did, but since I met Sharyn, I think knitting is awesome! How about you?  Any knitters out there?  I'd love to know...and so would Sharyn!
