A homeless man was shot and killed by police after throwing multiple rocks, hitting two officers.

Police officers responded to a report of a man throwing rocks at cars in a busy intersection. the man threw rocks at officers, hitting two of them, and refused to put other rocks down, as reported by the Chicago Tribune.

Officers tried to use a stun gun on the man, but it had no effect. Because of his threatening behavior, officers used their guns.

Witnesses say that the man was running away as he was shot. One witness recorded the incident on his phone. The video starts after officers had tried to use their stun guns.

The three officers involved have been placed on leave during the investigation. This is the forth fatal shooting involving this police force in the last 6-months. Officers were cleared of any wrong-doing in the three previous cases, according to the Chicago Tribune
