Police: New York 4th Graders Planned to Kill Teacher With Sanitizer

What is going on with these kids today? Three 9-year old-students in upstate New York plotted to kill their fourth grade teacher with hand sanitizer, according to police.

The students in Elba, NY told classmates that they were going to kill their teacher by putting antibacterial products around the classroom, according to a New York Daily News report.

The teacher is highly allergic to hand sanitizer and banned it from her classroom.

The students' plan was revealed when a classmate heard and told their parents, who then told the school board, according to the report.

According to police, they very little motive for the murder plot besides that they thought she was "mean." Police are considering incident "idle chatter" and there are no charges against the students.

According to reports, two of the students have been suspended, but no other information has been released.
