An Ulster County man was arrested after witnesses heard five to six gun shots and glass breaking.

On Friday, New York State Police and the Ulster County Sheriff's Office responded to a home in the Town of Kingston to investigate a 911 report of shots being fired in a residence.

The 911 caller stated being in the driveway of the residence when he heard 5-6 gun shots coming from inside the home and saw glass from a second floor window breaking.

Local authorities determined that the shots had been fired from an apartment in the fourth apartment building on Hill Road in the Town of Kingston.

Christopher D. Fowler, 36, was determined to live in the apartment where shots were fired, police say.

After multiple attempts, officials were able to talk with Fowler and he surrendered himself to police without further incident.

No one was injured as a result of the shots that were allegedly fired by Fowler.

Fowler was charged with first-degree reckless endangerment. He was arraigned in the Town of Kingston Court and remanded to the Ulster County Jail for lack of bail.
