Super Mario Bros. Speedrunner Sets New Record For Completing Game

A new world record for Super Mario Bros. speedruns has been set.

The player, "Darbian" flew through the game in four minutes and fifty-seven seconds, setting the new record. He also holds the previous record, which he set back in October. He beat his previous time by 387 milliseconds.

Darbian keeps an archive of all his attempts and successful world record runs on his Twitch page. After setting this latest world record, he is now done with Super Mario Bros. He has shown interest in other games.
