State Trooper Overturns Vehicle After Striking Tree
A state trooper suffered non-life threatening injuries after leaving the roadway, striking an embankment and tree causing the vehcile to overturn.
State police are investigating a one-car crash involving a state police patrol vehcile in the Town Stockport.
On August 7, at approximately 11:15 p.m. a marked state police patrol vehicle, operated by Trooper Theresa Filippini was traveling southbound when the vehicle went off the roadway in the area of the Columbiaville Bridge.
The vehcile left the roadway striking an embankment and tree, then overturned. Trooper Filippini was the only occupant of the vehicle, and suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The trooper was transported to Albany Medical Center, where she was treated and released.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
