Motorists got quite a surprise when a sinkhole opened up the other day right in the middle of the street in Williamsburg. The hole estimated at about six feet deep appeared on Driggs Avenue (just off Metropolitan Avenue), and caused quite the headache for commuters Wednesday afternoon. The DEP said the problem was caused by a break in an 18-inch sewer main where the sinkhole developed. No one was reported injured.

This same thing happened just several weeks back in front of the iconic Katz's Deli in Queens
