You wouldn't think that a pumpkin fest would be that big of a deal but tell that to everyone around Keene State Univ in New Hampshire. The Keene Pumpkin Festival has been a popular event for a number of years where locals come together and attempt to set a world record of the largest number of carved and lighted jack-o-lanterns in one place. People in New Hampshire take their pumpkin fests seriously for this year's event lead to a violent mele of rioting and arrests.

A police department log shows officers responded to 235 calls between 2:30 a.m. Friday and 3:30 a.m. Sunday. At least 14 arrests among about 50 made during the course of the unruly behavior appeared related to it. Most involved disorderly conduct or alcohol-related offenses.

Some witnesses reported to have seen cars flipped over and destroyed, and even reports of police pepper spraying rioters.
