Poughkeepsie Window Washers in Costume to Cheer Up Sick Kids
Local window washers squeezed in to super hero costumes to help brighten the day of some sick kids.
ABC 13 reports that kids at the Maria Fareri Children's Hospital in Valhalla got an extra special surprise this week when some of their favorite super heroes appeared outside the windows of their rooms.
Window washers from Poughkeepsie dressed in costume to clean the facade of the building, hoping to bring a smile to the faces of the sick kids. Batman, Captain America and other super heroes were seen scaling the building and waving to the kids inside while cleaning the windows.
These super heroes are all employed by Tri-State Facade Services right here in Poughkeepsie. The company has been giving various children's hospitals the super service for ten years. Their first mission was for the Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital a decade ago.
The hospital is more than happy to have the window washers dress in costume for the kids, and from what we hear they were delighted to see the heroes outside their windows.
