Police: Man Was Drunk When He Crashed Boat Off The Hudson
Police say an intoxicated man crashed his boat on the Hudson River on Sunday. Westchester County police say that 56 year-old Rogerio Jost of Croton-on-Hudson was injured Sunday when his boat crashed into a wooden sea wall near Verplanck after narrowly missing several boats. Police say Jost has been charged with drunken boating.
Lohud.com reports that Jost was charged with boating while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and issued a desk appearance ticket. He was also issued Navigation Law summonses for reckless operation and operating a vessel above 5 mph within 100 feet of the shoreline. He is due in Cortlandt Town Court on June 9.
