Police: Man Operating Motorcycle With Cardboard License Plate Arrested
A Fishkill man was arrested after officers discovered the motorcycle he was operating had a cardboard license plate.
Troopers were patrolling in the Town of Poughkeepsie when they stopped a 2004 Suzuki motorcycle for having an invalid New York State Inspection sticker. Upon further investigation, troopers learned that the motorcycle had a counterfeit cardboard license plate.
Sadly, there is no picture of the license at this time.
James C. Walton, 23, of Fishkill, NY was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the second-degree.
Walton was also issue several traffic tickets including operating a unregistered vehicle, operating an uninspected vehicle, and operating a motorcycle without a motorcycle license.
Walton was arraigned in the Town of Wappingers Court and released on his own recognizance. He is due back in court at a later date.
