Police: Hudson Valley Man Allegedly Stole TV, Then Tried to Return It

NY State Police say that a Port Jervis man who allegedly stole a television set and speakers from Walmart and then tried returning the goods is facing a felony charge. 32 year-old Antonio Farrar was arrested Sunday after state police from Ellenville say they responded to the Walmart in Napanoch.

The Times Herald Record reports that the investigation found that Farrar allegedly stole the 46-inch Samsung LED television and a Sound Bar from the Walmart then went to customer service and completed a return.

The Times Herald Record says that he is being charged with first degree falsifying business records, a felony, and misdemeanor petit larceny.  He's being held in Ulster County jail on $2,000 cash bail or $5,000 bond.
