Police Asks Public Not to Call 911 If They Run Out of Toilet Paper

Coronavirus panic has spread across the globe, and it's had some very odd side effects. Keeping clean is a priority. Of course, you don't to resort to this though. Toilet paper has been flying off the shelves as customers buy as much as they can. This has obviously raised concerns for many, as sanitation is a huge issue in these uncharted times. However, law enforcement wants to remind everyone what the emergency lines are for and what they not for.

One police department in Oregon wants everyone to know that 911 is not for your toilet paper crisis. The Newport Oregon Police Department recently told the public that they are not to call the 911 simply because they ran out of toilet paper. The department posted on their Facebook account:

It’s hard to believe that we even have to post this. Do not call 9-1-1 just because you ran out of toilet paper. You will survive without our assistance.

Given how taxed doctors and nurses are with many falling ill, and the work first responders have had to put in, please be considerate. Also, now is not the best time to want to toilet paper your neighbor's house.
