A Newburgh woman was arrested after entering the facility while in possession of drugs. 

What happens when you enter a correctional facility while in possession of drugs? You get arrested, duh!

Cynthia A. Eagle,46, of Newburgh was visiting an inmate at Downstate Correctional Facility in Fishkill, when she was arrested for unlawfully entering the facility while possessing prescription pills.

According to a press release, Eagle was arrested for Promoting Prison Contraband in the second-degree, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the seventh-degree.

State Police were assisted by the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision.

Eagle was released and is due back in court at a later date.
