A New York woman who was charged in April with killing her farmer husband will undergo more psychiatric evaluation. The woman allegedly stabbed her husband with a pitchfork, shot him, and buried him in manure.

In October doctors determined that accused murderer Charlene Mess was not competent to stand trial. A hearing scheduled for this past Monday was canceled because it still needs to be determined if Mess is fit to stand trail. Wyoming County District Attorney Donald O'Geen says, a judge has given him permission to find of doctor of his choosing to evaluate Mess.

Mess is accused of killing her husband of over 30 years on their Attica, New York Farm. On April 20th, officials found the body of Douglas Mess. Reports say the 52-year-old was stabbed by a pitchfork, shot in the back of the head by a .22-caliber rifle, and buried under a pile of manure on the farm the couple owned.

Mess has already pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder, assault, using a firearm in a crime, lying to investigators, and evidence tampering.
