The New York Mets entered the season with high expectations.

After making it all the way to the Wold Series last year, Mets fans were banking on their first title in thirty years in 2016.

Things have not exactly come easy this year, but Saturday's 5-3 win in Philadelphia puts the Mets back in control and back to the National League playoffs again.

James Loney, who was subbing for the injured Lucas Duda, was the big hero as his two run home run lifted the Mets past the Phillies.

Jeury Familia stepped in to seal the victory, and grab his 51st save of the season.

Injuries have indeed been a huge factor in 2016.  Everyone from Jacob deGrom, to Matt Harvey and Steven Matz. to David Wright, Lucas Duda, and Yoenis Cespedes all missed significant playing time this year, which put the Mets' hopes at another playoff run in jeopardy.

Now, it's the waiting game as the Mets will see who their opponent will be going into the NL wild card game- the St. Louis Cardinals, or the San Francisco Giants.
