Music Masters Camps, Levon Helm Studio and The Weight will present Camp Cripple Creek, a celebration of the music and history of The Band this August at The Full Moon Resort in Big Indian, N.Y.  Mark your calendars now; it's Aug. 22- Aug. 26.

The Band was and is one of the most popular and influential rock groups in the history of rock and roll. Camp Cripple Creek celebrates them with concerts, performances, interactive workshops, teaching clinics on both music and history, talks from industry professionals who were close to The Band, and plenty of on-stage jamming with the attendees, open jam rooms with equipment provided, open mics and song-circles around the campfires, and a visit to Big Pink.

The camp is hosted by the  Woodstock-based touring group The Weight, featuring Jim Weider and Randy Ciarlante from The Band, Brian Mitchell of the Levon Helm Band, Marty Grebb, who worked with Rick Danko and Richard Manuel of The Band, and Albert Rogers who has shared the stage with Levon Helm and Garth Hudson.   A portion of Camp Cripplecreek proceeds will go towards Levon Helm Studios in Woodstock.
