Locals in Pennsylvania Town Devastated After Fire Set to Dunkin Donuts
The fine folks of Shamokin, Pennsylvania sure love their Dunkin Donuts.
So when their favorite coffee establishment closed after a thirteen year old girl allegedly lit a towel dispenser on fire in the women's bathroom, they let their voices be heard.
It only took about a minute for the entire restaurant to fill up with smoke.
Shamokin Police Sergeant Ray Siko (pronounced Pyscho) said no one was hurt. The girl is currently at a juvenile detention center.
But where will the people in Shamokin go?
Resident Dutch Smith told WNEP NewsWatch 16 that the restaurant was a "cheap, classy place".
I go there every day, I get a chicken bacon croissant, I get some coffee, some Powerade if I’m dehydrated. I sit there all the time. If I have any legal work I need to do, I go there. I meet with my attorneys there.
Edna Faust added:
I’m going to miss that place if it doesn’t open up. Damn. A lot my friends go there, get the COLD COFFEE, iced coffee I guess it’s called.
Fortunately for the people in the central Pennsylvania town, the Dunkin Donuts reopened last Friday.
