The JCPenny department store at the Hudson Valley Mall will close in April, the company announced.

After 32 years in operation, the store is set to close their doors around April 7, according to an email from the company.

The email stated: "We continually evaluate our store portfolio to determine whether there's a need to close or relocate unperforming stores." They added "We feel this a necessary business decision."

The store has 74 employees currently working there. JCPenney said they will help employees find job opportunities at other JCPenney stores in the area, the Daily Freeman reports.
