State of The Art Barstool Dog Rescue Bus to Bring Rescue Pups to Saratoga Springs
Miss Peaches Takes Over The Internet
Back in 2024 Dave Portnoy, the founder of Barstool Sports, added a new member to his family. Her name is Miss Peaches and she's a Pitbull mix that was saved from an unfortuante hoarding situation.
It didn't take long for Miss Peaches to capture the hearts of millions. Portnoy created a social media account that showcased Peaches antics, like eating his expensive clothes and somehow escaping the fenced in yard. The account also showed off her sweet demeanor and also gave us a glimpse to a softer side of Portnoy.
Since adding Peaches to the family Portnoy and Barstool Sports have raised millions of dollars for rescue shelters across the country thanks to Miss Peaches merchandise sold through Barstool.
Now, Portnoy has added another dog... a Beagle named Pete, a foster dog named Pops, and a hard lemonade line called Lucky One Lemonade. The only next step that makes sense is for Portnoy to get in the rescue game.
Barstool Sports Creates State of The Art Dog Rescue Bus
Thanks to the success of Lucky One Lemonade, Portnoy (and Peaches) were able to help Lucky Puppy Rescue add a new vehicle to it's fleet. It's a state-of-the-art bus that will be able to transport rescue dogs saved in Florida to Lucky Puppy Rescue Adoption Center in Argyle, New York right outside of Saratoga Springs. Portnoy has a home in the area. The caption that went along with the video, in Miss Peaches voice of course, states:
It’s an amazing cause and we’re so lucky we were able to help! Thanks again because without you guys we wouldn’t be able to do it. So enjoy your @luckyonelemonade this 4th of July and let’s keep saving all the good boys and girls we can!
We'll keep an eye out for the buses first trip and let you know what pups will be up for adoption. Until then, keep enjoying those Lucky One Lemonades for a great cause.
Miss Peaches Ties to the Capital Region
As mentioned above, Miss Peaches owner Dave Portnoy has a home in the Saratoga Springs area.
During Peaches first few months with Portnoy she kept finding herself in trouble at every turn. So, Portnoy got in touch with one of the best dog trainers in the business who is based out of the Capital Region.

Portnoy called in the help of dog behavior and aggression expert, Thomas Davis who is based out of Clifton Park. Davis headed out to Portnoy's New England summer home to work 1 on 1 with Peaches.
It seems like the training worked! Peaches has been on her best behavior ever since!
