Is Independent Wrestling on The Rise in New York?
Professional wrestling has quite a history in the Hudson Valley but can anything compare to the WWE?
It's not always about the glitz and glamour or the large venues. Sometimes all you need is some good talent and a wrestling ring. The WWE had reigned supreme for decades but for as long as it's been dominating there will always be independent promotions traveling through your town. Independent promotions are even starting to take over on your television. The AEW (All Elite Wrestling) is getting a lot of attention lately.
Many New Yorker's are starting to scale back on big time shows. According to the New York Post, there has been a large increase in audience numbers at small shows in the city alone. Has this spread through out the state.
There area few local wrestling companies that hit the area frequently like East Coast Wresting and Northeast Wrestling Inc.
Have you ever been to a small wrestling match? How does it compare to the big shows?
