Interactive Theme Park Proposed For Hudson Valley Site

A 1,200-acre piece of Hudson Valley property could become a virtual and augmented reality theme park if all goes according to plan. The Times Herald-Record reports DraggonsGate Entertainment is in talks to purchase the land which was once earmarked for a 1,100 home development in Tuxedo.

The proposed interactive adventure park would feature 900 costumed characters and 1,000 acres of outdoor fantasy scenes to go along with large interior 'Hollywood style' sets according to a report obtained by The Record.

The Tuxedo Farms project has been in the works for decades but has never gotten off the ground. The home building project would have increased Tuxedo's population and added much need students to the local school system. Now the company behind the job is looking to sell the property after investing millions of dollars to build out roads and other infrastructure.

A cutting-edge theme park featuring the latest in virtual and augmented reality technology could provide a much-needed boost to the area. Park-goers would interact in up to eight different 'worlds' featuring knights, samurai, Vikings and more.
