In Touch: Mediation Center of Dutchess County

Each week on ‘In Touch’, our locally produced public affairs program, I have the pleasure of talking with individuals and organizations from all over the Hudson Valley. We focus on non-profit organizations and volunteers who are working hard to help make all of our communities better places to live, work, and raise our families.

This week, Honey Minkowitz; Bullying Prevention Coordinator at the Mediation Center of Dutchess County and Valerie Belton; Board member at the Mediation Center of Dutchess County and Co-Chair of the 6th Annual Anti-Bullying Walk-A-Thon stopped by our studios to talk about how the Mediation Center can help in resolving a wide variety of conflicts as well as their upcoming walk.

Volunteers at the Mediation Center of Dutchess County are very well trained and are in small claims courts, family court, as well as available for workshops in schools as well as places of business. They can help turn conflict into conversation. We also talked about the 6th Annual Anti-Bullying Walk-A-Thon and this year's theme, 'Hands against Bullying'.
