If You’re Afraid of Elevators You Might Not Want to Watch This [VIDEO]

This is some terrifying footage of a malfunctioning elevator at an apartment complex in Santiago, Chile. The surveillance footage shows Jose Vergara Acevedo entering the elevator at the new complex, when all of a sudden the doors slam shut and the elevator rapidly ascends upward at an alarming rate of speed. As Acevado desperately tries to hit the emergency buttons, the elevator races up 31 floors in just 15 seconds, before slamming into the ceiling. Crews were eventually able to rescue Acevedo, however is it being reported that he might not ever walk again as he suffered extensive injuries to his neck and legs. He is currently in intensive care, listed in stable condition.
