Hudson Valley Twin Brothers Indicted After 2 Fatally Shot

Hudson Valley twin brothers were indicted following two fatal shootings.

On Monday in Orange County Court, 22-year-old Dominique Williams of Newburgh was arraigned on an indictment charging him with felonies including murder, robbery attempted robbery, criminal possession of a weapon and conspiracy.

Williams is accused of killing a Newburgh man during a botched robbery in November 2018 near Liberty Street and Clinton Street in the City of Newburgh.

Williams was arraigned with his twin brother, Devin Williams, 22, also of Newburgh, and both are charged with having been part of a conspiracy to commit gun-point robberies and possess weapons, officials say.

The indictment charged Devin Williams with robbery, criminal possession of a weapon and conspiracy. The brothers are both accused of committing a gunpoint robbery on November 1, 2018, in near 16 Liberty Street in Newburgh.

Both are alleged to have been part of the conspiracy to commit robberies and possess weapons.

In addition to investigating the crimes alleged in the indictment, the City of Newburgh Police Department and the Orange County District Attorney’s Office are also investigating two shootings which occurred shortly after the man who was the victim of the attempted robbery was fatally shot.

Shortly after that shooting occurred, a man who was with Dominique Williams was fatally shot in the vicinity of 319 Liberty Street in Newburgh, officials say. It's believed Williams was shot in the arm during the same incident. Anyone with information concerning either fatal shooting is asked to contact the City of Newburgh Police Department.
