Hudson Valley Sex Offender Jailed For Failing to Register Facebook Account and More

A convicted Hudson Valley sex offender is behind bars after he plead guilty to failing to register his Facebook account and sending distributing indecent materials to a minor.

An undercover operation led to the arrest of 42-year-old Robert Dunn Sr., of Fallsburg. In May of 2015, Dunn went to a residence on Emily Street in Monticello to meet a 15-year-old boy that he solicited for sex on Facebook.

Dunn was in fact not communicating with a 15-year-old boy, but an undercover Sullivan County Sheriff’s Deputy.

In Sullivan County Court, Dunn, a convicted level 2 sex offender, was sentenced to 3 years in prison and 15 years post-release supervision.
After pleading guilty Dunn faced a maximum penalty of 4 years in jail.
