For a second year in a row, one area country ranks near the very bottom for health in the state of New York. On the other hand, several Hudson Valley counties ranked near the top.

According to the County Health Rankings, Sullivan County ranked 61st out of the 62 counties in New York, according to the data collected from The County Health Rankings & Roadmaps.

The counties in each state are ranked according to a variety of health measures:

  4. Overall Health Factors
  5. Health Factors – Health behaviors
  6. Health Factors – Clinical care
  7. Health Factors – Social and economic factors

The only county that finished lower than Sullivan was Bronx County. This is also the second year in a row that the Bronx finished last.

Saratoga County once again finished first, followed by Rockland County. Westchester was 4th, Putnam fifth, Ulster 15th, Dutchess 17th, Orange 23rd, Columbia 30th, Delaware 51st, and Greene 53rd.
