Habitats of the Hudson Valley Exhibit Opens this Weekend

The Hudson Valley is filled with wonders from nature. From birds, to insects, to fish and wildlife, the Hudson Valley has plenty of nature to serve up. And you can learn all about it this weekend at a new exhibit in Cornwall.

The Hudson Highlands Nature Museum presents Stomping Grounds:Habitats of the Hudson Valley, tomorrow, April 6 and Sunday, April 7 at the Wildlife Education Center on 25 Boulevard, Cornwall-on-Hudson. What’s so special about a beaver pond? What makes areas along the Hudson River unique? What’s the one place in the Hudson Valley that’s protected for migrating, meadow-loving birds? How can we keep these areas wild, but still use them for recreation and learning? Find out more about the vast array of habitat types that are right in your backyard as you explore new interactive elements, toys, books, and games. Enjoy “Meet the Animals” programs at 1 pm and 2:30 pm. This indoor space is a great area to spend the afternoon with children.
