CNN reports that Secretary of Health and Human Services Sylvia Burwell and the commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration, Dr. Robert Califf announced that that e-cigarettes and other tobacco products will be regulated much like regular cigarettes and smokeless tobacco.

The government ruling now expands the definition of tobacco products to include e-cigarettes, hookahs, pipe tobacco, premium cigars, little cigars and other products.

Now, those under eighteen won't be able to purchase these products. Currently, not all states forbid sales to minors. Other measures will include a mandate child-resistant packaging, and a requirement for companies to show what is in their products, excluding those that have been on the market since before 2007.
