Helpers 4 Shelters and Pets Alive are teaming up this Sunday from 1 pm - 4 pm at Pets Alive on Derby Road in Middletown for an afternoon of crafting to benefit the animals at Pets Alive and other local shelters and rescues.

You'll be making no sew blankets, simple catnip toys, winter feral cat shelters, braided dog toys and a few other easy projects for animals in need right here in our local Hudson Valley community. Pets Alive will supply the materials, and you supply the manpower and talent. If you're interested in helping with the no-sew blankets or the catnip toys, please bring your own fabric scissors or cutting wheel with self-healing mats.

If you are wondering what else you can bring to help out, they could use styrofoam coolers, duct tape, contractor bags, catnip and catnip spray, gallon size ziploc bags, felt and fleece.

For more information, or to find out how to make a donation, check out the Pets Alive facebook page or their website.
