Sadly, it looks like another Hudson Valley Business has closed its doors for good.

Last week, Sonic customers got an unexpected surprise when they showed up to the location in Wappingers and found the drive-in restaurant had closed. According to a post on their Facebook page on Sept. 29 the location is permanently closed, no explanation of why.

This is the second Sonic Drive-in to close its doors in recent years. The location in Kingston also ceased operations after only being open a few years. According to the Facebook post. the company still has one other location operating in New Windsor.

So farewell delicious corn dogs and shakes, I will miss you but we always have those hilarious commercials to keep your memory alive.

Most of the restaurant closures announced in recent months have been long-established Hudson Valley eateries, such as Andy's Place, the Hobnobbin and City Dogs. Chain restaurant locations have seemed to pop up all over the place--or will be soon. These include the Tilted Kilt, Hardee's and Chipotle, among others.
