Teens sometimes have a reputation for driving. According to a new study, New York state teens are the best drivers in the nation.

According to the statistics released from WalletHub, that took into account the  number of teen driver fatalities, the average cost of car repairs, and the presence of impaired-driving laws. New York ranked as the number #1 best in the United States.  Oregon came in at second, followed by Massachusetts. Connecticut was ranked at #7. New Jersey came in at #10, and Pennslyvania came in at #34. South Dakota finished dead last at #50.

Motor vehicle accidents are the leading cause of death among people ages 16 to 19, according to Wallethub. 15 to 24 year olds rack up nearly a third of all costs resulting from motor vehicle injuries.
