It's become a tradition in Ulster County. The Women's Studio Workshop's 23rd Annual Chili Bowl Fest Fundraiser is happening on Saturday, Feb. 29, at SUNY Ulster in Stone Ridge. More than 20 Hudson Valley restaurants and chefs donate more than 50 gallons of chili for meat lovers, vegans, and vegetarians.

The Chili Bowl Fest is a long-standing favorite, celebrating the Hudson Valley community and sharing a love of hand-crafted pottery. Guests will enjoy live entertainment by In the Kitchen raffle drawings, clown performances for children at 4:45 and 6PM, and the satisfaction of supporting local arts. They can put their new ware to good use immediately with a complementary serving of delicious chili.

Throughout the year, staff, interns, resident artists, students, and local potters create nearly 1,000 handmade bowls, mugs, and tumblers. Because so many hands contribute to this process, each vessel is one-of-a-kind and widely varied in shape, size, color, surface design and price-point. Guests always have fun browsing and choosing their perfect pieces.
