WPDH Album of the Week: Thin Lizzy ‘Jailbreak’

Thin Lizzy's 6th studio album, Jailbreak was released in 1976 and was the band's U.S. commercial breakthrough. The album features the band's biggest single "The Boys Are Back in Town" and the title track "Jailbreak". A review from Stephen Thomas Erlewine at Allmusic described the album as "truly exceptional with a dimension of richness that sustains, but there's such kinetic energy to the band that it still sounds immediate no matter how many times it's played." He described Lynott's songs as "lovingly florid...crammed with specifics and overflowing with life."
