The NFL offseason's biggest free agent is quarterback Kirk Cousins, and some experts believe the former Redskin could land with the Jets for next season.

ESPN says it's come down to the Jets, Denver Broncos, Minnesota Vikings, and Arizona Cardinals in the Cousins sweepstakes. Who will win?

What the Jets have going for them is a lot of salary cap space and a system in the rebuilding process. This could allow Cousins to come and be the main focus. Jets fans are ready for a new quarterback that can lead the team back to the postseason. Since 2009, they've been through Mark Sanchez, Geno Smith, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Bryce Petty, plus Michael Vick and even Tim Tebow for a few games.

There's also the spotlight and potential endorsement deals that come with playing in the nation's largest market. That's always a plus.

The Jets finished 5-11 last year which is actually a little better than some expected. Of course, the low expectations came for a reason as they've missed the playoffs every year since 2010. Would Cousins pick the lowly Jets over a team like the Vikings who made it to the NFC Championship?

In 2017 with the Washington Redskins, Cousins threw for 4,093 yards and 27 touchdowns. He also picked up four rushing TDs.
