If you're traveling on Interstate 84 you might see some odd marks on the pavement. Some Hudson Valley residents aren't sure what is causing them. Here is the reason why you'll probably see them more often.

We're getting closer and closer to the winter season. The roads could soon be covered with all kinds of white stuff. It's hard to believe but snow could be falling down and sticking to the roads any day now. Just before the big snowfall, the New York Department of Transportation is letting New York commuters know that the roads will have something else on it soon.

The DOT is currently in the process of applying road brine to New York roads and highways.
