A vehicle and on foot pursuit led to a number of charges for a Walden Man.

New York State Police from Highland charged Kenrick J. Jones, of Walden with driving while intoxicated, a felony, resisting arrest, 2nd-degree obstructing governmental administration, 3rd-degree unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, and reckless driving, misdemeanors. Jones also received a number of vehicle and traffic violations.

Troopers tried to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle operated and solely occupied by Jones for multiple vehicle and traffic violations on State Route 9W in the Town of Marlborough, NY. Jones allegedly refused to stop and attempted to flee and evade patrols by driving in a reckless manner and at high rate of speed.

Jones ultimately lost control of his vehicle and collided with a number of fixed objects near. Following the accident, police say Jones tried to flee police on foot and later physically resisted arrest.

Jones was ultimately arrested and taken into custody. He was arraigned in Marlborough Town Court and remanded to the Ulster County Jail without bail. Jones is scheduled to reappear in court on March 22.

Jones is also currently under the supervision of New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision and is currently under investigation for violating the terms of his parole.
