Two Local Comedians Take on Steroid Use
Two of the funniest people in the Hudson Valley are hitting the stage together to help fight steroid use.
Comedians Andy McDermott and Ryan DeNisco, winner of The Funniest Person in the Hudson Valley contest, will be performing Saturday night to help bring the Taylor Hooton Foundation to local schools.
McDermott dropped by The Boris & Robyn Show this week to talk about the show, and explain why his parents just can't seem to admit when they don't know something:
Proceeds from the show will go to benefit the Taylor Hooton Foundation, which educates students on the dangers of anabolic steroid use and supplement abuse. The use of steroids has become an epidemic in our local communities, so McDermott and DeNisco have teamed up to raise awareness by hosting the benefit comedy show.
The night of comedy will be held at the Knights of Columbus in Saugerties on Saturday. Doors will open at 7pm and the show will start at 8pm. More information can be found on Morethanjokes.com
