Tuesday, November 10: Rock n roll Birthdays

Happy Birthday today (Nov. 10) to Greg Lake of Emerson, Lake & Palmer. He's 68. Also celebrating today is ex Guns N' Roses and current Sixx A.M. guitarist DJ Ashba (43).

Greg Lake was the singer and bassist for King Crimson before joining Emerson, Lake, & Palmer. He has also recorded as a solo artist, scoring a major hit in 1975 with "I believe in Father Christmas".

DJ Ashba is the current lead guitarist of Sixx A.M. (Nikki Sixx' from Motley Crue's band.) He was lead guiatrist in Guns N ' Roses from 2009 to 2015. He was announced as new lead guitarist in the band March of 2009, replacing Robin Finck, who left the band to rejoin Nine Inch Nails. Ashba first played with Guns N' Roses as part of the band's Chinese Democracy Tour in 2009. He appears on the band's 2014 Appetite for Democracy dvd release.
