Happy Birthday today (July 3) to Stephen Pearcy. The frontman for Ratt is 59.
Ratt formed out of Los Angeles, California and had a successful career with a string of hits during the glam metal scene of the 1980’s. The band is best known for the songs “Round and Round” and “Lay It Down”. Other singles included “Wanted Man”, “You’re in Love” and “Dance” among others. The band went through several hiatuses and lineup changes over the years. Their last studio album was “Infestation” in 2010.
Stephen Pearcy continues to record and tour with a solo band and has recently put together a revamped lineup of Ratt which also features original bassist Juan Croucier for live performances. I've always been a big fan of Ratt. Definitely one of the greats of the 80's hair metal genre. I got a chance to meet Stephen Pearcy at a show years ago. Check out photo below.
