Too Soon? Spirit Store Open, Candy Corn on Sale in Hudson Valley
It's not even Labor Day yet, but four Halloween costume shops have already popped up in our area.
During a recent shopping trip to the grocery store, I was shocked to find candy corn and other Halloween candy already sitting on the shelves. School hasn't even started yet, but it looks like the Hudson Valley already has their eyes on the last day of October.
On my way home from shopping, I was dumbfounded to see that the Halloween costume store was already moved in and open for business. That's right, The Spirit Halloween stores are already moved into their temporary Hudson Valley locations and ready to sell creepy props, sexy costumes and other Halloween necessities.
This year, Spirit is already open at the old EMS location on Route 9 in Poughkeepsie next to Table Talk Diner and the Old Michael's location in Kingston. Other locations will be opening soon at the Newburgh Mall and on Route 9 in Wappingers near Kohl's.
